Hudson
Fortune-President. The Team Chicago Soccer Program has been under
the direction of Hudson Fortune since its beginning in 1991. Under his
personal leadership, Team Chicago is one of the most successful traveling
soccer programs in Illinois, having produced 8 State Cup Champion teams and
8 Indoor National Championships in the last 4 years.
Playing Experience - Hudson grew up in Brazil and played for
the Juvenil do Flamengo. He was captain of the Indiana University
soccer team and went on to play professional soccer for the Pittsburgh
Spirit and the Indianapolis Daredevils.
Coaching Experience -
Hudson was the Head Soccer Coach for
Bradley University and was a professional staff coach for the Chicago Power
before starting Team Chicago. He currently holds a national "A"
coaching license |

Phil
Nielsen - Director of Coaching:
Phil Nielsen started his playing and
coaching career in his native Denmark. A coach for more than 23 years, he
has spent the past 13 years coaching college, semi-professional, and youth
players in Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Brazil.
Currently he is serving as the Elite Academy Director for Team Chicago
Soccer Club in Naperville, IL. In this capacity he is overseeing the
development and implementation of an Elite Academy for the U-13 to U-18 age
groups within Team Chicago.
Coach Nielsen is also deeply involved in Region II ODP. He is currently the
Head Coach for the 1990 Girls' Regional Team, and has served as an Age Group
or Head Coach for each of the past 4 years.
From 2000 until 2008 he was at the helm of Smith College Soccer, while
simultaneously coaching within the Region II ODP program and the
Massachusetts & Michigan state ODP programs. Prior to taking over at Smith
College he was the Head Coach of nationally-ranked Kalamazoo College.
Coach Nielsen spent 4+ months in Brazil in the spring & summer of 2007.
First with the 1989 & 1990 Region II ODP teams, then working with Team
Chicago Brasil (a girls & women's soccer club) in Rio de Janeiro, and
finally he completed a 3-week internship with Cruzeiro (one of Brazil's most
famous clubs, which developed Ronaldo, Cris, and Fred from the current
Brazilian National Team).
Coach Nielsen has obtained coaching licenses from U.S. Soccer Federation
(USSF), National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), the Danish
Football Association (DBU), and his UEFA Badge from the Scottish FA (SFA).
For the 2010-11 Seasons Coach Nielsen is serving as the Head Coach of the
following Team Chicago Academy teams:
U-14 Team Chicago Academy - Internacional, U-15 Team Chicago Academy
- ManU, U-16 Team Chicago Academy - Botafogo

Brian
Bierman (Director of Coaching):
Brian played his youth soccer with
both Pegasus and Green and White Soccer Club. Brian played his High School
career at West Aurora where he was named All-Conference and was a 4 year varsity
letterman. Brian with his love of the game continued
on to Waubonsee Community College where he was an Assistant Coach for the
2000-2001 seasons.
Brian has a National D license and has been the Director of Coaching for U7 to
U12 teams specializing in youth soccer development

Magno Barreto :
Grew up playing soccer in Bahia, Brasil.
Magno is also the PlayUSA Skills Camp Director and the manager of the PlayUSA
Indoor Soccer Facility.

Barry
Briggs:
Barry grew up playing soccer in Granite City, Illinois, where he
was named to the Granite City Hall of Fame. He was on the state championship
team in high school and was recruited to play for the Air Force Academy and
later Aurora University. He has been training and coaching for over 20 years.
He currently holds a National D License.
